Also, Townsquare Media is made up of real people that are reachable and ready to not only help our employees grow but also help our partnerships and clients' businesses succeed.
Each day, I work with our sellers and customers and GROW them-their business base, their profit margin, their dreams-AND I'm also challenged in more ways than I ever thought possible and see success. This path is never boring; there are always new challenges and hills to climb, and I have an incredible support system in place to make that possible AND have fun while being financially rewarded at the same time.
When I came to work at Townsquare Media, it was evident that we collectively shared the same passion, tireless dedication and uncompromising discipline to help businesses reach beyond their goals. To this day, I'm still inspired by my colleagues throughout the company to do what others in our industry aren't consistently willing to do: put in that extra effort and have the will to be creative beyond measure and to get results.
It amazes me that Townsquare takes time to listen to its employees, and then actually implements some of our suggestions to improve. I guess it's as simple as our company, and those who embody what we're about, taking the time to listen and lead the way to help people connect. It's that willingness to embrace change that allows all of us to be part of something great here at Townsquare as we reshape the media industry.
What I love about my job is working with such an amazing group of people. Everyone here genuinely cares about each other professionally and personally and works together as a team. 2020 has been a challenging year, but day in and day out, I watch this team continue to cultivate relationships with our local businesses to help them grow. I feel that I am supported by management in the decisions I make within my markets. They give me all the tools to succeed and to never be outdone by the competition.
Success is not quantitative. It's about quality. I feel that as quality team members, we are inspired to be part of a bigger picture, and our ultimate goal is to WIN and bring Townsquare Media's visions and values to life.
What draws me to Townsquare, and why I am so bought into this team, is their focus on the small markets. Nowadays, it seems that everyone directs their attention to the big cities with the big lights and all the action. But, at Townsquare, our goal is to make personal connections. It doesn't matter how big or how small the town is, as long as we are live and local. And, to me, that is more impactful.
What I love the most about my job as a radio personality is the ability to make someone's day just with the words that come out of my mouth. My words have the ability to make someone laugh, cry or smile, and I don't take that lightly. My favorite thing is when people tell me I've become their "car best friend." I love being able to talk to listeners and hear their stories every night. I never really think of it as me talking to thousands of people every show. If I can make just one person's day, then I've done my job.
